Trio Einstein
Good news from Munich! Rüdiger Lotter (violin), Sebastian Hess (cello) and Christine Schornsheim (fortepiano), all three from Munich, and all three world class musicians specializing in historical performance, have joined together to form a trio of the highest caliber.
The baroque violinist Rüdiger Lotter, who has worked as a concertmaster, soloist, and artistic director of the Hofkapelle München, is recognized as one of the leading and most versatile experts of his field. His numerous recordings of violin music, including the sonatas by Veracini, Geminiani, and the Biber Mystery Sonatas, have been highly acclaimed by the musical press. Sebastian Hess regularly appears both as a soloist and as a chamber musician at some of the world's best-known concert venues. Regardless whether he is performing early music, classical-romantic repertoire, or contemporary music, he is a master of his field. He too has produced numerous CDs that have been met with critical acclaim.
Christine Schornsheim is known as one of the finest specialists of the early music scene and has also produced many prize-winning CD's. As a soloist on both the harpsichord and fortepiano, an instrument whose revival is due in part to her virtuoso and expressive playing style, she is both in demand as a soloist and musical partner by many ensembles.
The impulse and goal of these three musicians is to discover the trio literature of the Viennese Classic and perform it using historical instruments, thereby allowing the fortepiano to unfold in warmth and transparency for the music of Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert. We are excited about the results to come.
